Project Type

Urban Design Intervention

Here at the heart of Singapore is a place where everything is conveniently there for you, amenities such as community centres, parks and open spaces, shopping centres, offices, market and food centres, the list goes on. A prime location where people can live, work, and play. Although can we take this one step further by integrating life in the CBD with technology and nature?

The aim of this brief is to transform the area into a Regenerative city, key strategies in this proposal include; a fully AV ran city, transportation of supplies through drone tower points, reclaimed green corridors & green policies to connect ecosystems, and adaptive reuse of carpark spaces.

Overall this proposal leads to have a large number of new trees planted, creating new ecosystems to sustain climate shocks, reducing temperatures, cutting emissions and building new communities

THE IMPACT

  • An estimate of 2000-3000 new trees can be planted.

  • Diversified ecosystems will sustain against climate shocks

  • Average temperatures will be reduced by 2°C - 5°C

  • Embodied carbon emissions are heavily reduced, from the drone tower alone, an equivalent of 35000 trees of CO2 is reduced annually

  • New and old communities adapt and evolve in reused carpark spaces
